VOD with DIRECTV?

Last week, DIRECTV announced that they are planning a broadband based video service, which will have about a 2,000 title catalogue. Customers will be able to download movies from their DIRECTV service straight to their DVR. Though it won't be as quick as cable providers' VOD services, customers will get the movies quicker than if they had to order them via mail, said a DIRECTV executive.
