According to a blog entry on CNET by Elinor Mills, EarthLink and Google are planning to set up free municipal Wi-Fi in cities other than San Francisco. Ironically, this news comes just as complaints about EarthLink and Google's Wi-Fi plans in San Francisco have come to light.

Critics believe that EarthLink and Google's Wi-Fi plans will interfere with San Francisco residents' privacy. Experts also suggest that the Wi-Fi system might interfere with many Wi-Fi users' radio signals.
