AT&Ts plans to bring advanced communications to rural areas

According to the article AT&T Eyes Fiber, Alternatives for Delivering Services,  AT&T CEO Ed Whitacre said in a speech before the Detroit Economic Club that AT&T will use their new fiber network as well as wireless and satellite technologies to get advanced communication into their territories. These new technologies will help bring advance communication to rural and low-income populations.

"The technologies hold strong promise for delivering broadband services in remote, rural and hard-to-serve areas, many of which have no DSL or cable broadband services today," said an AT&T representative in the article. To find out more details about AT&T's plans, you can check out the article.
