Be careful with your e-mails

E-mail messages can come back to haunt you. As more and more people become comfortable with their computers and the Internet, they forget that e-mail correspondence is more permanent than verbal conversation. E-mails, even if deleted off your personal computer, can often be recovered. Several civil and criminal cases recently have used e-mail records as evidence, including the antitrust case against Microsoft in the 1990s.
